About Me!

I'm Bryan (aka DiSanto), a 21 year old senior at NYU, but more importantly I'm an ACE certified personal trainer, ISSA certified sports nutritionist, and nuts about everything fitness & nutrition related. I'm a HUGE Carolina Panthers and New York Yankees fan, an avid skier and golfer, and a certified PADI scuba diver. I'm also really big into outdoorsey stuff like canoeing, white water rafting, and canyoning. I love being active nonstop and trying crazy adventurous things I've never done before (except skydiving because I hate heights).

Although I'm in school for business, my real passion is for fitness and nutrition. I really can't get enough of it. I've independently researched a variety of topics over the past four years and have learned some amazing things. Some of the areas I've researched include: weight-training and bodybuilding, fitness, personal training, general nutrition and sports nutrition, anatomy and kinesiology, supplementation, and body composition.

My goal is to use my knowledge of fitness and nutrition, as well as my experience as a trainer, to make a HUGE impact on the lives of everyone around me. Our society as a whole is really freaking unhealthy on so many levels...that includes basic health no-nos like smoking and drinking too much, leading sedentary lifestyles, and following terrible diets. It's pretty ridiculous that nearly 34% of the US is obese and climbing. Hopefully by learning a little bit from me, anyone who reads this can make a change for the better, adopt a healthier lifestyle, and transform their body into a healthy, attractive, fit machine.

Believe it or not I wasn't always the physically fit, fitness and health enthusiast that I am today. Throughout middle school and high school I was the typical fat kid. I was a lazy, chubby, 210 pound, ~20% body fat, fat kid (now I weigh a muscular 170 lbs, ~7% body fat). I played video games nonstop, didn't get much exercise, and ate horribly without any guilt. It was ignorant bliss. I had no idea how horribly my lifestyle was impacting my body, and I suspect most people don't. That type of sedentary lifestyle combined with terrible eating habits is a quick route to a heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and a about 100 other health conditions. Like me, anyone is capable of transforming their body and becoming healthier if they really want it bad enough. Set a realistic goal, be persistent, bust your ass, and I guarantee that you can be successful.
